Introducing POS Terminal options
Scanner tab
You can use the Scanner tab to select your speci c scanner or, if not available, select the Generic Barcode Scanner.
Most scanners have a variety of programmable options that may need to be set before the scanner works correctly.
Before using your scanner refer to the information displayed in the Scanner tab on the Options window. If more
assistance is required to con gure your scanner contact your scanner supplier.
The following is required for ALL scanners, refer to your scanner’s user manual and follow its instructions to program
the scanner with the following:
• Baud Rate – 9600
• No Parity
8 • data bits and 1 stop bit
A pre x character of the tilde (~) character•
A Carriage Return (CR) su x character•
