Switching areas
If you have set up more than one table area layout, POS Terminal creates a list of your areas making it easier for you
to switch to the area that you want to view. The areas list in alphabetical order and can’t be edited. To edit the area
captions go to the Table Manager Designer window.
For more information on switching areas, refer to the POS Terminal in-product Help.
If there are only two areas set up in your layout, when you click the Switch Area button it will toggle
between them.
Changing the table status
Accessing a table in Table Manager when not in a transaction or when a transaction is on hold enables you to
change the state of the table. POS sets seven default states for you; Reserved, Seated, Ordered, Served, Paid,
Requires Cleaning and Free. You can edit some of these table states, for more information refer to the POS
Administrator in-product Help.
Apart from reserving or freeing a table as described in Making Reservations on page 178. POS does not
automatically change the table status for you. To change the state of a table you must open Table Manager, select
the table and then select the state you want. For more information on changing the tables state, refer to the POS
Terminal in-product Help.
